This was my food obsession of the summer. Latin corn on the cob. It’s everywhere we like to go these days and it’s the perfect summer food. It varies slightly from spot to spot, but the basic approach is the same: Char-grilled corn on the cob with a lime butter / cayenne pepper / shredded or grated queso blanco. The best three in order of perfection:
1. Mexican Style Corn from the poolside menu at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami
2. Mexican Grilled Corn at Cafe Habana in NoLita, NYC
3.Elotes Callejeros with Lime at La Esquina in Soho, NYC
Absolutely a-MAIZE-ing.
